At Ukrop's, we're committed to the communities we serve. Ukrop's gives 10% of its pre-tax profits to organizations that make Virginia a better place for all of us. We help organizations through the following programs:

Golden Gift

Since its inception in 1987, Ukrop's has donated $12 million to local nonprofit organizations through the Golden Gift program. It is a unique giving program because donations are made completely at the direction of Ukrop's Valued Customers. In 2009, the program's earning period ran from March 2 through March 28. Each participating non-profit can earned a portion of the $200,000 payout. Click here for more details.

Gift Cards

Gift cards may be donated to nonprofit groups and schools for door prizes, raffle prizes, auctions and other such purposes. Visit your store and ask to speak with the manager for more information.

Event Sponsorships

Sponsorships will be considered for events to benefit local nonprofit organizations that meet the criteria described in the document entitled "Community Sponsorship and Donation Request Guidelines and Form."

10 Percent Discount

A 10 percent discount is available to nonprofit groups for the purchase of most food or products.

Vacation Bible School Refreshments

For more than 60 years, Ukrop's has provided free snacks and refreshments to area churches and houses of worship for children's summer Vacation Bible School or similar programs. Visit our VBS page for more information.

Celebration Rooms

We have a great space for your group to meet! Our Community Rooms, available at selected stores, accommodate up to 20 people. And remember we can even help plan your refreshments. Celebration Rooms are available at the following locations:

Sidewalk Vending (non-solicitation)

We are glad to help local non-profit, charitable and service organizations in their fundraising efforts by allowing them to use our sidewalk space near the entrance of our stores. Contact your store's general manager for more information.

Store Tours

Educational store tours are available at all Ukrop's locations for daycare and school groups. Contact your local store for more information or to arrange a tour.
