COURTESY CLERKS are responsible for efficiently bagging customers' groceries and helping customers to their vehicles with their purchases. These associates also help customers locate products, assist cashiers when needed, clean bathrooms and break rooms, and restock store products. Because Courtesy Clerks help customers to their vehicles, some of their time is spent working in seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. As a Courtesy Clerk, it is also essential to have good communication skills including the ability to understand and orally communicate in English.

CASHIERS are responsible for providing fast, friendly customer service as they process customers’ purchases using computerized cash registers. It is important for these associates to maintain a thorough knowledge of products and codes, Ukrop's Valued Customer program and other services, and possess the ability to handle multiple forms of transactions and payment. Accuracy and basic math skills are necessary, as is the ability to easily adapt to new processes and procedures. As a Cashier, it is also essential to have outstanding communication skills including the ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.

Additionally, these positions require the ability to stand for a minimum of 5 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
