Our customers' privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Any personal information gathered through interaction with our customers is held in the strictest of confidence, even within Ukrop's. Although we may share information with affiliates such as First Market Bank, we never sell your name, address, phone number, or purchase information to anyone under any circumstances.

Ukrop's Associates
Access to customer information is limited to Ukrop's Associates who need it in order to serve our customers or maintain our information systems. All Ukrop's Associates are subject to our company Privacy Policy.

Vendors
We may allow companies that we do business with to make available special offers and information to customers who might be interested in their products and services. These companies never see customer's names and addresses; instead, they provide the information, and we coordinate the distribution of that information under the guidelines of the Direct Marketing Association. We may also provide purchase information to vendors in aggregate form (i.e., customer non-specific) so that they can help us analyze and improve our service to you.

You may elect to receive only Ukrop's Valued Customer mailers and information, or you may elect to receive no mail and no information at all. If so, simply fill out a "Change of Status" form available at any Ukrop's Customer Information Center or e-mail us at helpline@ukrops.com.

Other situations
We may release customer information when we believe it is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our legal rights, or to protect our customers or us. We may also release your information if you request or authorize us to do so.

Ukrop's Meat Freshness Policy
At Ukrop’s, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the freshest meats and seafood in our market.

To ensure that our quality standards are consistently met, we follow the procedures in our Meat Freshness Policy that has been in place for years. The procedures state that:

• All fresh meats and seafood received by Ukrop’s are dated.

• Our inventory dating system ensures timely product rotation in order to maintain our high quality standards.

• On occasion, it is necessary to rewrap meat products in order to maintain package quality or to customize product to fill a customer’s order. If the rewrapping of any meat product does occur, the product and new package must maintain the original “sell by” date.

• On the actual “sell by” date on any package, meats and seafood are sold on thrift that same morning between the hours of 7 a.m.- 10 a.m. only. Any product not sold by that time is sent to the Central Virginia Foodbank or discarded.
